Our DNA directs us towards an inventive and humanistic architecture, uncluttered but warm, promoting well-being.

Born in Paris in 1962 to Spanish parents, Vincent CORTES graduated in Architecture in Paris in 1986, and obtained a SACHS scholarship for a postgraduate degree at HARVARD in the same year, where he obtained a Master's degree in Architecture II in 1988.

He prolonged his stay in the United States and worked with Rafael MONEO on the Miro Museum and the Seville airport. He then moved to New York where he worked until 1990 as a project architect with the firm PEI, COBB, FREED and Partners. During this period, he was responsible for the design and development of the JFK International Airport inter-terminal rotunda.

Before returning to Europe, he went to the Middle East, where he won his first architectural competition, an office complex in Amman. This project was interrupted by the Gulf crisis in 1990.

Back in Paris, as a consulting architect, he designed and developed several built projects and competitions, such as the CARRE SENART shopping center and the ASTRA FRANCE headquarters in Rueil, a project that received the 1999 Architectural Achievement Award from the American Institute of Architects, with the VIGUIER firm.

In 2000, he opened his agency, C.A CORTES ASSOCIES, and developed urban planning projects: the OCT urban district project, 500 ha in SHENZHEN, China, (co-winner of an international competition), and the CHATEAU DE FRANCE urban district in Noisy, near Paris. He also designed, in partnership with Juan TRINDADE, architectural projects such as the UNILEVER Consumer Center in Rueil, and a SPORTS CENTER in La Défense for UNIBAIL.

In 2007-2008, he completed two award-winning competition projects:
L'OREAL headquarters, second prize, and Museum of Civilizations, third prize, in partnership with the PEI firm.

In parallel to his teaching activity (GeorgiaTech USA, seminars at ESSEC Business School) he designed and carried out the complete restructuring of several office buildings in Paris, notably:
-5 rue Alfred de Vigny, for SFL,
-92 Champs-Elysées, for SFL,
-65 Avenue FD Roosevelt, for the Brazilian Consulate.

He extended his partnership with the PEI firm on various projects and competitions, including:
-Restructuring of the American Church in Paris,
-DUO 2030 competition in Saudi Arabia (finalist)

C.A also designs and executes various apartments for private clients, as part of its interior design activities.

In 2020, CA delivered a 39-unit apartment building for the COGEDIM Group.
